Resources Development Plan
Managers may face difficult moments in their roles, such as when team members aren’t meeting performance standards. If those team members are very behind on their targets, it can lead to frustration among the rest of the team. In these cases, managers need to call the underperforming team members in for a one-to-one meeting to discuss their performance.
They may know how they’re supposed to carry out this kind of conversation in theory. But if they haven’t had one of these difficult conversations before, it can feel quite intimidating. The good news is that this course will let them practice applying what they know, so they can feel confident about navigating difficult conversations.
This course was created to be used as practice for the skills the managers have learned in our course ‘Having a Constructive Conversation About Low Performance’.
How to open a dialogue about performance issues
How to communicate with employees about their performance
Suitable actions to follow up on as the employee progresses
Managers or Team Leaders need to be prepared to have a difficult conversation with their team members. This course will help them start a conversation about performance issues. They’ll also run through how best to discuss performance with employees, and review the most suitable actions to select for following up progress.
